For better or for worse, I didn’t have to suffer through a turkey coma this holiday season, though it sounds like I could be attending another turkey dinner in the next couple of days. I don’t know what it is about Christmas that makes us eat unfathomable quantities of gobbler.
They say it is better to give than it is to receive, but let’s face it: most of us love the prospect of receiving. The gifts themselves don’t have to be expensive, because it is the thought that counts. Just look at the Nintendo 64 kid above. He couldn’t be happier with the arrival of more Mario-themed goodness.
In case you didn’t catch the mention during this week’s Dot Com Pho episode, Susanne bought me a new Wacom Bamboo Tablet for Christmas. She knew that I had been thinking about getting one of these for quite some time, but I haven’t been able to convince myself to buy one.
The version I got is the Wacom Bamboo Pen, so it works with the special stylus. The wireless pen does not require any batteries and it’s pressure-sensitive. Don’t ask me how it works. The Wacom tablet will definitely come in handy, especially if I continue to post new content to my Flickr account. Maybe I’ll get beyond basic image editing and move into some more artistic expression. Thanks, Susanne!
On that note, did you get anything interesting for Christmas? Or perhaps you were too busy surviving the Feats of Strength to bother with presents?
